Finishing:
Embroider
face and attach safety eyes.
Position
ears and sew them to the head.
Stuff
the head, legs, and body firmly.
Sew
the bottom to the body, adding
stuffing as necessary so that the body is nice and firm.
Position
the rear feet and sew them to
the body behind the front legs.
Ear
trim: Do this on both ears. Using
a piece of eyelash yarn approximately 12” long, double it.
Insert
your crochet hook through the tip of the ear and out the other side.
Hook the loop of the doubled yarn and pull the loop through. Hook
the two sections of yarn and pull them both through, locking the yarn
in place. Trim to desired length, approx. 1-2”.
Topknot:
Add a topknot the same way
you added the ear trim with the eyelash yarn. You will be adding
them to the front 3 sc in the middle of the kitty's head centered
between her ears. Trim to desired length, approx. 1-2”.
Tail:
Using an approximately 24”
piece of yarn in the main color, double it. Insert your crochet hook
around one of the stitches at the base of the back of the body in the
tail area. Grab the loop of the doubled-over yarn and pull through.
Hook both ends of the doubled yarn and pull through, attaching the
yarn with a single crochet. Continue working chains with both ends
of the yarn until the tail is as long as you want it to be. Make a
pompom out of both colors and attach it to the end of the tail.
