Preparing
face for
eyes: Using the slicker brush or stiff-bristle brush, begin at the
chin area of the front of the head and start brushing in short
strokes down toward the neck. As fur appears, slowly move the brush
upward but continue brushing in short strokes downward. Create a
section of fur approximately 3” across. Brush a small section
of
fur on one side out of the way at about 9 rows down from the top of
the head and place an eye. Count over 6 stitches, brush a small
section of fur out of the way, and add the other eye. Do not brush
the fur around the eyes once they are in place as you could scratch
the eyes. Do not brush the rest of the head yet.

crochet both stitches together. Continue across 1 sc through next sc
and through sc on the other side to end. Join with sl st and leaving
a long tail for sewing the leg to the body.
Finishing:
Using
the tabs created by the last rows of the arms and legs, sew them in
place on the body.
Using
the slicker
brush, start at the chin area and work your way up the head to the
top working in short strokes, brushing up, down, and side to side to
get the maximum fuzziness. Brush tops and bottoms of ears, finishing
them by brushing out and then downward.
Using
a yarn
needle and the bamboo yarn, sew over each stitch in the crocheting on
the bear's tummy, centered across 3 stitches and down about 6 rows.
Make sure to tie off the yarn securely. Using the slicker brush,
brush the bear's belly as you did the head until it is nice and
fluffy.
Using
the bamboo
yarn, sew over and over a few stitches at the tail area. Brush to
make it fuzzy.
Enjoy
your new
bear!
