LITTLE EMO
CROCHET PATTERN

Little Emo
could use some sympathy
and a hug. Play with him and carry him around with you, but
don’t
expect him to cheer up. Life is just too depressing.
Finished
doll measures 4” tall.

General Tips & Techniques:
* Be sure
to keep yarn tension firm and consistent throughout your work.
*
At the end of each row, I have given the number of stitches you
should have. This is just a guide. If you are off by 1 or 2 stitches,
don’t worry about it. Amigurumi is very forgiving.
* I chose
Caron Simply Soft for this pattern. You may substitute any
medium-weight worsted yarn. Bernat Satin or Red Heart Soft work well
too.
Magic
Ring:
Leaving a long tail, at least 12”, Ch. 4, join with
sl st into first st. Work 10 sc into center ring and around tail, do
not join. Pull tail to close the hole in the ring. Tie tail to
working yarn. Mark beginning of row (piece of contrasting yarn or
paperclip works fine). From this point on, you will be working in the
round

Finishing:
Stuff head, body, and
legs firmly with Polyfil or stuffing of your choice.
Sew bottoms
onto feet.
Sew arms into position.
Hair:
Cut about 50-60 strands of 10" to 12" yarn "hair." Take 10-15
of
them and knot together on one end. Insert the knot inside the
head. Using your crochet hook, pull 2 yarn hairs
through
each hole around the top 2 rows. This makes his hair
kind of stringy and emo. If you don't want an emo doll, add
more
hair.
Eyes: His eyes
are placed in row 7, 3
spaces apart.
Enjoy your new Little Emo!
