Every garden has cute little worms.  Now you can make some in any color you like! 
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook size D3
9mm Safety eyes
Stuffing
Yarn Needle 
Abbreviations:
Ch        chain
Sc        single crochet
Sc2tog single crochet 2 stitches together
Sl st      slip stitch
St         stitch 
Worm:
Row 1:  Starting at top of head, ch. 4.  Join with sl st to form ring.  Work 10 sc in center of ring.  Place marker at the beginning of the row.  Continue working in the round from this point on.
Row 2:  2 sc in each sc around.
Row 3:  *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around.
Rows 4-8:  1 sc in each sc around. 
Place safety eyes or embroider facial features now.  Safety eyes are placed in 7^th row, 5 sc apart. 
Row 9:  *1 sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog*, repeat from * to * around.
Row 10:  1 sc in each sc around.
Row 11:  *1 sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog*, repeat from * to * around.
Row 12:  1 sc in each sc around.
Row 13:  *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * to * around.
Rows 14-15:  1 sc in each sc around.
Row 16:  *1 sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog*, repeat from * to * around.
Rows 17-18:  1 sc in each sc around.
Row 19:  1 sc in next 3 sc, *sc2tog, 1 sc in next sc*, repeat from * to * 4 times, 1 sc in each sc to end of round.
Row 20:  1 sc in each sc around.
Row 21:  1 sc in next 3 sc, *sc2tog, 1 sc in next sc*, repeat from * to * 3 times, 1 sc in each sc to end of round.
Row 22:  1 sc in each sc around. 
Stuff head and body firmly. 
Row 23:  *1 sc in next sc, sc2tog*, repeat from * to * around.  End, leaving a 6” tail for sewing. 
Sew end closed, tie off end and hide tail inside body.
