General Tips & Techniques:

* Be sure to keep yarn tension firm and consistent throughout your work.

* At the end of each row, I have given the number of stitches you should have. This is just a guide. If you are off by 1 or 2 stitches, don’t worry about it. Amigurumi is very forgiving.

Magic Ring: Leaving a long tail, ch. 4, join with sl st into first chain to form a ring. Work 10 sc into center ring and around tail. Do not join. Pull the tail to close the hole in the ring. Mark the beginning of the row. From this point on, you will be working in the round.

Position and sew ears to head.

Using 2nd color, sew over and over in the center of the belly to create a belly button.

Sew body bottom to the bottom of the body, leaving a 2” section open for stuffing. Stuff head and body firmly. Finish sewing. End and weave in yarn end.

Position feet and sew to body.

Position arms and sew to body. Do not stuff arms (that way they are able to be posed).

Position tail at base of the back of the body and sew in place. Do not stuff (so it can be posed).

Enjoy Humphrey!
